SEE YOU THERE!!!
On July 5, 8, 10 & 11, 2010, we will be having our annual Daily Vacation Bible School at Red Cow Industrial Park, Naas Road Dublin 22. This activity is being conducted by the Children’s Ministry of the Word International Ministries-Ireland. This year’s theme is entitled “SEA SIDE ROCK”. Our objective is to introduce the children to Jesus through the stories and experience of Peter. To encourage the children to build their lives on Jesus the rock through fast-moving, fun and action-packed holiday club programme.
Scripts from David Godfrey’s book: DVBS’ Seaside rock is a children’s holiday programme. It is packed with creative teaching, games, songs, Bible focus, prayers and craft ideas, along with a drama script for each day. Seaside rockprovides a mixture of small group activities and presentation.
Seaside Rock is written for use with children between the ages of five and eleven, and is fast-moving, creative and fun, with a strong teaching element to it. Holiday clubs can be special times. Children can meet Jesus and have a great time as they do so.
The Aims of SEASIDE ROCK
Seaside Rock is based around the story of Peter. Seaside rock will:
1. Introduce the children to Jesus through the stories and experience of Peter
2. Encourage children to build their lives on Jesus the rock
3. Provide a fast-moving, fun and action-packed holiday club programme.
Alongside these broad aims, you may have some more specific aims, For example:
- to attract new children to join your Sunday groups or other children’s activities
- to develop your leader’s gifts and experience
- to present the gospel to children to who’ve never heard it
- to provide an opportunity for children to make an initial or further commitment to follow Jesus
- to get to know the children in your church
to provide a project to encourage your church to work together
- to establish links with children’s families
- to encourage cooperation with other churches or groups in your area
- to launch an ongoing children’s group based on the Seaside rock theme
